Submersible Level Transmitters

Submersible Level Transmitters

The Mercoid® Division of Dwyer Instruments, Inc. offers four series of submersible level transmitters with different features suitable for different applications: the FBLT, PBLT, MBLT, and SBLT.

Submersible Level Transmitters are pressure transmitters manufactured to read hydro-static pressure from inside the fluid. These transmitters are submersed into the fluid that they are measuring and will give an output proportional of the fluid level above the sensor location. Bimetal Thermometers

Dwyer Instruments, Inc. offers many temperature measuring products that use bimetal sensors as the sensing element.

Bimetal Thermometers measure temperature based on the differences in thermal expansion properties of metals. Pieces of metals with different thermal expansion coefficients are attached to each other in an assembly.

As the temperature applied to the metal sensor assembly increases, the metal strip with the larger temperature coefficient of expansion expands more.  Continue reading “Bimetal Thermometers”

Find What You Want In Less Clicks

The Dwyer Instruments, Inc. website was launched 21 years ago and was one of the first instrumentation e-commerce websites of its kind. Over the years as new products and features were added to the site, navigation became more complex for new users. Dwyer continually strives to improve the user experience by making platform updates and reducing the number of clicks it takes to find and order a desired product.  To that end, users will begin to see navigation updates on the W.E. Anderson® by Dwyer Valve Automation website (www.weavalves.com) in May.  To round out 2017, these changes will incrementally be updated across the entire Dwyer platform. Advances in HVAC Test Equipment: The Importance of Diffuser Calibration for Flow Hood Measurements

Introduction

Objective

The objective for this writing is to inform HVAC technicians and contractors about the limitations of testing equipment currently used for testing, adjusting, and balancing HVAC systems. The need for more accurate instruments is immediate as energy programs are moving toward net-zero energy building efficiencies.

In doing so, HVAC technicians and contractors will struggle with tighter specifications as they tune HVAC systems with instruments that fail to provide the required accuracy and versatility.
