Dwyer recently released its new -S option for the Series CDT carbon dioxide and temperature transmitters. Built upon Dwyer’s standard carbon dioxide transmitter, the -S option has a front-facing LED that illuminates when the CO2 level exceeds 1,100 PPM.
This new feature addresses concerns raised by legislation, including California Assembly Bill 841 and Nevada Assembly Bill 257. California’s Assembly Bill 841 was signed into law in 2020, while Nevada’s Assembly Bill 257 was approved in 2021. Labeled a “first of its kind investment” by the Department of Energy, a funding opportunity for public K-12 school facilities was approved November 26th, 2022. Its name? The Renew America’s Schools Grant.
The first round of these grants will account for $80 million dollars (and the full grant program estimated to total around $500 million dollars) will be allotted for energy improvements that result in direct reduction to school energy costs, increased energy efficiency, and lead to improvements in teacher and student health.
